Hello, everyone. I established a page on this site to keep you informed about my wellness. I'll post updates here until I'm no longer able to do so. After that one of my family members will provide updates.
I was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gerhig's disease) in February 2016. At that time, I was enjoying my second career as a registered nurse, working at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio, and I was living in Youngstown. I have since retired and moved back to Cleveland to be closer to friends and family. This disease is life-limiting, there is no cure or therapy, and I have chosen not to have any life-sustaining efforts done to prolong my life beyond the final days of the disease's progression. I've had a most marvelous life with two wonderful careers and have no regrets.
