Paul had surgery at Cleveland Clinic last Thursday 10/25/18. He had a Centrimag Lvad put in. What this does is pump his heart until he can get a transplant. Since his heart was not pumping strong enough to get the blood flowing to all of his organs, his liver and kidneys were starting to fail. He is still on a ventilator and sedated. His blood work is slowly improving and they are hoping to wean him off the vent soon. At this time he is not stable enough to get a heart should one become available but that will be the next step when he improves. He will not be able to leave the hospital until he does receive a new heart. We are very grateful for all the prayers and support from our family and friends.
