Hello Friends. 
Our world turned upside down on Sunday, May 21. We went to church then over to Mark & Annie's to help with some landscaping. Mark & Paul were working together when all of a sudden Paul went to the ground. Unresponsive, Mark dialed 911 and w/in 30 minutes he was in the ER at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. 

He had a severe stroke. He has been sedated this entire time, so I don't imagine he has any idea yet of what is happening. We still don't know the cause of the stroke; his heart & valves are in great shape. Sometimes the cause is never discovered. He is still going thru a battery of tests. We have not explored yet what the future holds, but we do think it will be a long haul.

As you might imagine, we are a mess. We are all scared. There are too many unknowns to even begin to think about how our lives will change. I don't want to think the worst, but its so hard not to. One day at a time is our reality.
