Well, here we are again on the caringbridge site.  It is a great site where we will keep you up to date on Paul's progress.  
In July Paul had a colonoscopy and upper GI done.  His red blood count was low and they were looking for a reason why.  The colonoscopy turned out great, but they did find something where his esophagus meets his stomach.  They did a biopsy and it came back positive---CANCER.
On August 10, Bret, Nicky, Paul and I met with  Dr. Volk an oncologist from Green Bay.  He said that Paul will be treated with radiation and chemotherapy, and possibly surgery.  
We are now waiting for a Pet Scan to be done.  Hopefully that will be done on Monday or Tuesday.  We have a meeting scheduled with Dr. Volk (the oncologist), the radiation therapy Doctor and the nutritionist on Wednesday the 17th in Green Bay.  At that time they will tell us the results of the pet scan, the treatments to be given and the schedule.  The treatments will all be done in Green Bay at St. Vincent's or St. Marys Hospitals.  
I will post after our meetings when we know more, so check back on the 18th to see what's going on. 
Paul is very positive as we all are, that he WILL beat this!  Keep us in your thought and prayers, but please don't post on Facebook.
