Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On August 9th, Paula and Jerry were in Taos, New Mexico on vacation. Paula had a little fall and developed bleeding on the brain and brain swelling.  This continued to worsen in Taos, and she was care flighted to Albuquerque to a neuro trama ICU.  Her condition has remained critical.

On Wednesday, August 22, Jerry was able to get Paula medic-jetted to Lovefield where she was then transported to Presbyterian Hospital's Neuro ICU. Her MRI Thursday evening showed no sign of stroke. She is able to open her eyes and is recognizing family and friends who come to visit. There is no communication at this time, but we are hopeful. Paula has a long road ahead of her, and we are taking lots of baby steps to her recovery.  Your thoughts and prayers are GREATLY appreciated.
