Background: On September 12th my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. It was a shock to us all, she is a very healthy and active woman who has always made a point to take care of herself. Just a few weeks prior to her diagnosis she was hiking in Colorado with my dad and sister on a family vacation. The diagnosis was upsetting to us all, it was unexpected but we quickly learned to put our trust in the Lord and the staff that have been trained to treat such things as this.
Since mom's diagnosis she has had THE MOST wonderful nurses at her side, an INCREDIBLE oncologist, terrific internal medicine specialist, extraordinary dietitian, astounding GI doctors and most importantly more prayers than we could have ever imagined. We are so blessed to have the support system we do and above all the Lord to thank for the many miracles that have been bestowed upon us since the beginning of all of this.
