Brain injury -- not for the faint of heart.

I have a dissected carotid artery, this is the major artery that takes oxygen to my brain. This injury is the leading cause of stroke in young people. Praise God, I did not have a stroke. I received world-class medical care in a timely manner that will most likely keep me from having to have surgery. I have3-6 months of medication and limited activity that will allow the tear to repair itself and restore normal blood flow to my brain. I intermittently have extreme fatigue. I have limited energy for activities. The medication lowers my blood pressure and has me bruise and bleed easily. I am balancing serving my clients and being with my children with the needs for healing. We need help with meals, driving, and light housework. I would welcome healing sessions. I need community and friendship, and reminders that this too shall pass, and lots of hugs.
