Patty had back surgery on August 8th. After a series of complications related to the surgery, she is now in ICU. She has developed ARDS related to an undetected infection. Despite their best efforts, the doctors cannot determine the origin of the infection. Her family is hopeful she will be able to recover and with enough time, the doctors will identify what is causing her to be so sick. As frustrating as it is, there really is no explanation for her condition.
