A good friend told me about this site and I think it is a great way for me to communicate the journey of battling ovarian cancer. Posting progress on FB is really not how I want to inform updates as I want my FB to be filled with the good in life.
For those who may not know, I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. I now have a perm catheter in my side to use for home draining fluid build ups instead of more ER visits. Thursday I will go for a port to be put in for the Chemo treatments. I will be going every Friday for 18 weeks if all goes perfectly. With what we have been told, there will be hiccups along the way so just will have to be flexible with the journey.
I can work if I am physically up to it and stay away from illnesses the best I can. So, though I've become somewhat of a hugger, I will have to decline contact, and don't be offended if I back away or use sanitizer if we touch. Germs are my enemy!
I do want to thank you all for the thoughts and prayers and ask you continue as the next few months will be very challenging for myself and my family.
