Having just been diagnosed, I don't know much about this disease yet. It will all be a learning process for me and my family. It is a cancer of the bone marrow and blood, sort of a cousin to leukemia, but it is not leukemia. It is not curable, but is manageable. All I know is that I will do anything this great team of doctors at Barnes Hospital and Siteman Cancer Center say to do, so that I can enjoy many more years of watching my grandchildren grow - all 7 of them! For a number of months, I will be filling myself up with drugs, drugs, drugs, then will be having a stem cell transplant done, using my own cells. So complicated, please feel free to look it up and enlighten me! And, even more importantly, pray for me and for my family members that all goes smoothly. God has a plan, and I trust in Him. 🙏🏻❤️
