Welcome to Patti's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Patti was struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking across a street in Saint Paul, MN on Thursday night,  March 30.  They have not found the driver as yet,  but this site is about Patti''s recovery.  All updates to her condition will be posted here as quickly as possible.

Patti was in surgery today for about 5 hours.  They repaired multiple pelvic fractures and put two pins in her little finger.  The surgery went as well as could be expected,  but they are keeping her sedated and intubated for the time being. There will have to be further treatments for a fracture in her lower back and MCL damage.  She has feeling and movement in her extremities,  and,  thankfully,  no head injuries.

At this time,  only immediate family are allowed to visit.

They'd love to have cards waiting for her when she wakes up,  though,  so please send them to Regions Hospital.  (I'll get an official address up here tomorrow. )

Again,  it's early and there's limited information available.  Thank you for your good thoughts,  wishes,  and prayers for Patti and her family.
