Hi Friends,
Soooo how has your life been the past ten years?  Mine has been flying by at an alarming rate.  Katie has been married to Mike for a year, Ro just graduated from Wisconsin yesterday, and Jonny is killing it his second year there as well.  Mark is coming into retirement in the next few years, and I am soaking it all in.  The past decade has been filled with laughs, love, and fun.  Unfortunately, my body has gotten tired of keeping this disease in check, and I find myself back in the system again.  The  leukemia that I sent packing in 2009 has reared it's ugly head.  Many things will remain the same.  Same crazy smart doctor, same state of the art facility, and my family and friends in my corner.  What has changed is improved testing, new therapies, and stem cell advances.  So here I am, down on the shores of Lake Michigan, pic line in my arm, ready to tackle this thing again.  I am more fearful this time because I know the suffering I may face, but also relatively peaceful, because I know that God is reaching out to catch me.  I am so fortunate to have the family and friends that I have.  Whatever I have to go through, I know you will be there with me.
