to help with things like lawn care, laundry, and some bucket list items. xoxo
If you're here, you probably know that Patsy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (that has spread to her liver) in mid-November.
You may also know her as the most wonderful and also the most stubborn person in the world -- or maybe that's just my view as her daughter. Her stubborn streak is helpful when it comes to conquering malignancies, and she's prepared to put up a fight. She was in the best shape of her life prior to this diagnosis, went to two well check-ups a year (including one in mid-October that showed nothing wrong) and was asymptomatic until last month. I'm amazed she even went to the doctor for the small symptoms she did develop - a slight nausea and abdominal pain.
Many of you have asked how you can help. If you click "Ways to Help" there is a "PLANNER" page where I can list specific tasks. So far I'm not so great at thinking of tasks, other than meals the day of her chemo treatments. I will be adding to that page as we figure help is needed (potentially babysitting here and there ... I solo parent most of the week, but I would love to go do laundry at my parents', etc).
