Patrick Little Pat's Updates

First post: May 30, 2017 Latest post: Aug 11, 2017
This April, Dad (Pat) was diagnosed with Mesothelioma cancer - it's a rare cancer in the lining of the lung. Luckily, it was caught early and we've been able to get him into the one of the top Mesothelioma cancer treatment programs in the country, with one of the top Thorasic Surgeons, at Brigham and Women's hospital here in Boston. Over the past few weeks he's gone through numerous tests and is a candidate for major surgery (Pleurectomy) that will happen this Tuesday, May 30th. Surgery will take 6+ hours, after which he will be in the ICU for 1-3 days and then transferred to an inpatient unit for 2 weeks.

He is staying strong and incredibly positive.

This website is where I will be posting updates on his progress. We welcome your wishes, prayers, and positive thoughts. If you feel inclined you can post them in the space below and I will pass them along. Please note, that there are no flowers allowed in the unit where he will be in the hospital. (And no donations are necessary - the link below for donations go to this website, Caringbridge).

Thank you for your love and support.
Carolyn (Pat's daughter)
