Hi Everyone, this is Patrick Walther and I would like to thank everyone for their support, thoughts, and prayers.   Just so everyone has the same understanding of what is going on I will post updates of progress and treatments as things change.

Right now I have been diagnosed with stage 3 to 4 renal (kidney) papilliary carcinoma and have a main tumor on 1 kidney with other tumors in my lung, on my neck,  in lymph nodes, and the scary one in my brain.   Currently this is the main concern and I am undergoing radiation therapy to my brain to reduce it's size and the possible speed it is growing.   Due to the location surgery is not an option, so we are going at it first and aggressively.  So we will be doing a 10 day radiation bombardment to the brain and head back to MD Anderson to evaluate.  Once completed they will be looking at options for further treatment of it and the rest of the cancer within me.

Radiation to the brain is a different experience.  Fatigue afterwards  is impressive, and brain functions are blurred for a few hours afterwards, so I sit watch TV,  read, or try to sleep for a few hours.   Let's just say I can understand what people with serious mind altering drugs in their system might be going through.   Yikes.  

Other than the above I am doing well, feel good, have a small balance issue (but not driving) I am doing well, reading on bee keeping and mead making, about to start a few small batches of mead, and working on some canvasback decoys that needed finishing and painting.   Hope no one expects me to just lay around and rest LOL. 

Will make new posts as things change.  Will be continuing treatments daily this week and thru Thursday next week.  Thank you again for your concerns, thoughts and prayers.
