Welcome to our CaringBridge. This is the story of Pat’s liver disease from the start of this saga in 1997. Misdiagnosed then, and again in 2016, Pat was hospitalized with sepsis and liver failure in July 2018. December 23 2018 he was in the emergency room at Sibley with sepsis, liver and kidney failure. He was transferred to Johns Hopkins on December 27. He lost awareness on January 2, when he was sedated and intubated for dialysis. He received a liver transplant over January 8 and 9th. He has had a rough ride, still not back. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
