Patrick Lovejoy

In October, Pat/P.T. was diagnosed with kidney cancer and Lymphoma, however the two are not related.  His kidney was removed, but the doctors were unable to remove all of the cancer.  He will begin treatment for the kidney cancer by the beginning of December (we hope.) After the kidney cancer treatment is completed, he will begin treatment for they Lymphoma.  The Lymphoma is a slow growing cancer, so that is how it was determined to treat the kidney first.  

He has been traveling to the Veteran's hospital in White River Junction (100 miles away), but his Oncologist is confident that he will be receiving his treatment in Burlington, with occasional trips to the VA for various tests.

He remains in good spirits, waiting for this next journey to begin.   He has pretty much recovered from the surgery that removed his left kidney,  so in that we we are thankful that there has been a bit of delay in starting the chemo treatments ..... he is stronger than he was even three weeks ago.
