On Tuesday Pat went into the hospital. We were hoping for a better outcome, unfortunately the diagnosis was Stage 3 ovarian cancer. The surgeon removed the visible cancer but we do know there are microscopic cancer cells he could not remove. In a couple of weeks our girl will begin eighteen weeks of chemo. It’s going to be tough but as we all know she is tough.
I’m sending out this request without Pat's knowledge because she is very proud and would never do this herself. Normally when one of us is sick in the Barber shop I put out a jar for donations to help our people get through it. But Pats journey is going to last a bit longer so I’m sending this to all our customers first, before I go to Facebook because once out, there will be no way of keeping it from her. Pat's motto has always been "The customer is always right". We are in a service business to serve our wonderful family of customers. She has always been kind, happy, and sincere to all of you.
She is also very giving of herself. Over the years I have been with her, I’ve seen her do everything from collecting empty cans for a poor soul who couldn’t work anymore to boxing clothes for people who need it. We have all had times in our lives when we needed a helping hand. Please be there for Pat at this time.
