-----------
As most of you know, our always energetic Patricia - business professor and mother to Brian, Brandon and Daniel - was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's several years ago. The disease has progressed over time.
Patricia made a relatively good transition to Grace from her former care center in Washington. However, further decline has occurred over the last couple of weeks and Patricia has been losing strength. She is not in pain. She is peaceful. She still recognizes husband Marty and she enjoys singing versus of songs that touched her long ago, including Amazing Grace, Battle Hymn of the Republic as well as one of her favorites from from K.C. & the Sunshine Band. Patricia may not be well in body or in memory, but she is well in spirit. Marty visits frequently, and Daniel will be visiting frequently as well now that he is in Virginia.
Patricia can have visitors, but if visiting, please understand that it is highly unlikely that she will recognize you. Her attention span is extremely short. She is unable to engage in full or regular conversation. Nonetheless, Patricia still radiates kindness.
Marty and Daniel are busy tending to Patricia's needs. Kindly look for updates on this site rather than calling them or emailing them. If you have a special or urgent need to contact them please email T. Flynn at ffanoo@yahoo.com and your message will be conveyed.
