Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Patricia has endured a lengthy ordeal with a tenacious cancer. Throughout this challenging time, she has demonstrated amazing determination, strength and hope. She has been treated with aggressive cancer treatments at Methodist Hospital in St Louis Park.

Patty's family has been with her every step during this difficult time. Her husband Don has ensured that Patty had the best quality medical care. Her daughter Chelsa has been a devoted and loving daughter, despite living 50 miles away! Her son has been home whenever possible, taking breaks from his college education to visit.

Patty has many friends including high-school classmates from SLP70 who have demonstrated friendship and concern throughout her illness. This had helped Patty by staying in touch on
Facebook.

The time has come when Patricia is no longer responding effectively to the harsh cancer treatments. She's entered a new, sacred time of her life and is now receiving home hospice care. This allows Patty to be given "comfort care" at home, supervised by professional home health care hospice nurses. Chelsa plays a special role as she is staying in a bed next to her mom's hospital bed at home. This requires not only offering her mom TLC,  but also prescribed medication that Patty needs to remain comfortable.

Patty is able to communicate very little because the tumors have returned. It's for this reason and others that she and her family should not have visitors or contacts. However, they all want you to stay updated, and for this reason you can send notes to Patty and her family on this site or to my email: lynnemaria@gmail.com. I will update you as often as necessary so you are aware of Patty's journey.

If you'd like a return call, please leave your number and I will attempt to reach you.

Thank you for your love and prayers.
