Dr. Pat Mullen is a 71-year-old psychiatrist in Greenville, SC. He enjoys poetry, reading novels, and experiencing nature at his cabin in the mountains. Pat likes the simple things in life: sitting in nature, listening to the wind blow and the birds sing, spending time with his wife, fishing on the lake, spending time with his family, and drinking a good cup of coffee. These are the things that bring Pat joy.

Pat was able to enjoy all these things and more until recently. On December 4, 2019, Pat had a stroke. He was taken to the ER at Prisma Health (formerly Greenville Health System). He was assessed quickly, treated efficiently, and is now receiving rehabilitation at Roger C. Peace, the rehabilitation hospital that is part of the Prisma Health System.

Initially, Pat had trouble with some of his speech and with various movements of his hand, arm and leg on his right side. However, with the excellent care that Pat is receiving at Roger C. Peace and the dedication and hard work that Pat is putting into his recovery, Pat is progressing nicely and in a timely manner. If you would like to visit Pat, he is able to receive visitors ONLY after 4pm. Please be mindful that he may be tired after a long day of therapy. if you would like to send cards or make phone calls, please contact the main hospital for further information at 864.455.7000. If you would like to leave him a kind and encouraging message on this site, please click on the tab that says "Well Wishes." Thank you for all your well wishes, support, and prayers.

God Bless You.
