As many of you know my mom has been dealing with some complicated heart issues the past couple of years. On November 24th we took her to the ER and they admitted her to the hospital. The team at United got as much fluid off as possible and then sent her into rehab. On December 8th she was able to come home, the next week or so she was doing great. She seemed to be on her way to some recovery.

Unfortunately on December 18th after dealing with pain through the weekend, her doctor admitted her to the hospital again. This time he sent her to Abbott in Minneapolis. They have been wonderful and have done extensive testing. They believe they know what the problem is, and that they can fix it. So Thursday or Friday of this week they are going to be doing a 3rd open heart surgery on my mom. They will be replacing her mitral valve, putting a ring around her tricuspid valve and then due to a previous procedure that put a hole in her heart, they are going to fix that also. I will update this site once I know when they have scheduled the surgery. God is good and our surgeons are some of the best around. She is a tough cookie, I know she will do amazing. Prayers are always appreciated!!
