Welcome, Family and Friends.  We've set up this page in support of my mom, Pat Burton (Clark), in her journey to fight "c".

In July, Mama started experiencing new health symptoms that led to having an upper GI test run, blood work and spots on her liver biopsied.  Her doctors have been routinely keeping check on the spots on her liver for years with no significant findings.  During the routine liver biopsy procedure they found her heart to be in constant A-FIB.   She's now on medicine to treat the A-FIB.

A few weeks ago, her biopsies came back positive for "c".   She's had a PET scan that's ruled out the spreading throughout her body.  However, the scan showed multiple active spots on her liver.

She has been diagnosed with Primary Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare form of cancer (it usually starts somewhere else in the body).

They are going to treat her cancer with IV chemo first. If her body responds well, she may then be referred to a liver specialist who will discuss her options from there. They want to shrink these spots down as much as possible in hopes of keeping it at bay.

We're asking everyone to please pray for God to heal her body. I know miracles happen and I believe in the power of prayer.  Please put her on your prayer lists at Church too.

Please feel welcome to post encouraging words for her on this site. I'll make sure she reads them.   Please also feel welcome to snail-mail her with cards of encouragement.   I know she'd love that.

In addition to this page, we've also set up a Facebook group to keep you posted.

Thank you for all the prayers and positive vibes.
