On October 18th, 2017, Pat received a long awaited call notifying him that heart became available. With mixed emotions he began the journey he has been anticipating for some time.

Pat was born with a congenital heart defect and had his  first open heart surgery at 13 years old for a hole in his heart that was the size of a silver dollar and also had work on his mitral valve flap.  In 1991 on the day Jordan was born he became ill and two weeks after Jordan was born he was admitted with Endocarditis, Congestive Heart Failure, and a terrible infection in his spleen. 6 weeks later  he had open heart surgery and had a mitral valve replacement.  His heart became enlarged as his mitral valve was leaking since his first surgery at 13.

They told him in 1991 it would be in the next 10 years he would need a heart transplant. With the good doctors, nurses, medications, and four ICD's  he was able to go 26 years,  and so his journey has begun on October 18,  2017 with the Gift of Life  from an Angel. We hope they know how much Pat will cherish this gift.
