Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Early in the morning of Wednesday, November 8th, Pam suffered a stroke.  Taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's, she was quickly evaluated and transported to University of Maryland Hospital on Greene Street.  She was admitted and is currently in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital.  Her care is being overseen by two teams of fabulous doctors.  One Team is comprised of stroke specialists and the other is the Neuro Intensive CareTeam.

Pam is alert and stable.   Although she is not out of the woods, she is making progress. Her speech is a little slurred, but she is often answering the endless questions with a little humor.   She has difficulty moving the left side of her body, but is able to wiggle her toes, move her hand, etc.  Physical Therapy and   Occupational Therapy have begun and are the first steps on the road to recovery.

Most likely Pam will be in the ICU for a few more days and then move to a Progressive Care Unit.   Unfortunately, she cannot accept any visitors outside of immediate family.

We know you all are out there rooting for Pammy and we will update this webpage as things progress.  Lastly, please encourage folks to visit Caring Bridge for updates.
