In January 2021, Pam was on the phone with Tracy who noticed that something didn't seem quite right.  She was confused about several things, so Tracy called Tami.  Tami and Michelle jumped in the car thinking perhaps she was having a stroke.  They drove her the two blocks to Swedish Medical Center where they dropped her at the door and waited in the car, due to Covid.  While in the Emergency Department, they determined she did not have a stroke, but actually had two masses in her brain.  One of the tumors was operable; the other was not.  This began a series of tests and treatments.  The tests determined that she has Glioblastoma.  This rare form of brain cancer is turning up in her family in several people.  Pam and two of her nephews have all been diagnosed with this.  Pam is a fighter and is doing everything she can to prolong her life.  She began with brain surgery in January 2021. After a month of rest, she did radiation, along with chemo for 6 weeks. Most recently, she had gamma knife treatment to attack two new sites.
