This started when we wanted to explore via plane travel. The kids are grown and leaving home so off we went. Six trips in seven months - then swollen legs sent Pam to the doctor's office in late July. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) was the diagnosis. Blood thinner was prescribed as the treatment. More investigation by her internal medicine doctor uncovered the real issue on October 13, 2016 - pancreatic cancer. Now we start this fight together to beat the cancer that has been silently growing and will continue our journey together. Chemotherapy starts on Monday, October 24th. So many people involved in supporting us, as has been over the past few years - school events, scouting, band, bunco, you name it! We are looking forward to continuing to have much laughter and good times with everyone. Here is to the future! Matt & Pam
