Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Pam has been struggling primarily with pain in her pelvis and right leg since July. Her primary doctor sent her to physical therapy, but the pain only increased and spread to the left side as well. She had a CT scan last week, and the results indicated a bone "cyst" in her pelvis. She had a PET scan and additional CT imaging done Wednesday 11/7, and then Pam and her daughter, Kristine, met with an oncologist, Dr. Shanks. The preliminary diagnosis indicates suspected stage IV breast cancer that has metastasized prolifically to multiple bones and possibly a spot on one kidney. She has been hospitalized and will undergo more tests to determine a treatment plan. We will use this site to keep family and friends up-to-date.
