My journey began on 10/15/2019 with extreme pain and a trip to the ER in the middle of the night.  They suspected a kidney stone and took a CT scan and sent me home.  The next day, I read the CT scan report and saw that the Radiologist noted “thickening of the back wall of my bladder”. I immediately emailed my doctor and asked her to read the report in which she responded I should see a urologist.  On 12/3/2019, I saw a urologist and he kept assuring me this would be nothing but still wanted to scope my bladder to make sure.  This is when he informed me that my bladder wasn’t normal and I had a tumor.  We then scheduled surgery for 12/10/2019.  On 12/12/2019, I got the news that it was cancer and an aggressive form at that.  The cancer was also in the muscle wall of my bladder.  Bladder cancer OMG!  It’s been appt after appt since then.
