For the past twenty years I have had a love-hate relationship with my breasts.   Too big, too heavy, and always on a hunt for the illusive perfect bra.   As an athlete, I ended up having to wear two running bras to keep from causing car accidents while running down the road.   The perfect massage therapy table would have had two cut outs for my breasts.  As time went on I began to accept  my breasts for what they are.....mine and beautiful.    No body shame here,  just need to edit most pictures to be neck up.   And so when I was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 9, 2021,  I cried.  I had finally come to appreciate my unique body type  and had begun  to not minimize, cover up, or be embarrassed & ashamed of my chest.  I love my breasts.  And so as I prepare for my first appointments with the surgeon, medical oncologist and radiation oncologist next week, I ask for your prayers as I make decisions and begin treatment.
