Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Pam. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of encouragement. Thank you for visiting. In November, 2015, Pam's planned trip to Hawaii was interrupted when persistent symptoms forced her to visit Kaiser Hospital. It was discovered that she had a brain tumor and surgery was immediately done to remove it. The tumor proved to be Glioblastoma Multiforme and Pam began Radiation and Chemo treatments. In 2016 Pam was almost back to her old self; Energized and Adventurous, Happy and FUN!! In 2017, right after Easter, Pam started having symptoms that warranted an emergency trip to Mission Hospital. After an MRI there and a consult with her Wonderful Team of Doctors at UCLA, it was determined that surgery to remove a possible return of the tumor would be the Best Course of Action. It is possible that the MRI image is showing Necrosis (cell injury similar to scar tissue) rather than a new tumor. Doctors will not know for sure until surgery; which is scheduled for May 23, 2017. Please keep Pam in your thoughts and especially in your Prayers.
