On May 9, 2017, I was diagnosed with anal cancer, aka irritable butt syndrome.  It's a survivable cancer with radiation and chemotherapy treatment.  The therapy plan is 5 days of chemotherapy (infused at home), followed by 5-6 weeks of daily radiation, followed by 5 days of more home-infused chemotherapy.   As of today, May 25, the start date is to be determined, but it's expected to commence in the next couple weeks.

I'm expecting a full recovery.  I have a wonderful family and many friends who will support and sustain me through the weeks and months to come.  Feel free to direct people to this site for updates; I'll post them here as I have news.

I appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
