Pamela Glover

I’m starting this site for my lovely daughter Pamela.  Just this past few weeks Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She felt a lump,  had some pain and took the initiative to have it checked out.  It all unraveled very quickly from there.  We decided to open this site  in an effort to keep her friends and family updated . There may be times  when she doesn’t want to repeat the story over and over or times when she doesn’t want to talk about it at all. Those times or any other time we welcome those who care to check here for any news we may have.  So far we have learned that her cancer is about 3 1/2 cm and is close to her chest wall.  It is also triple negative. Because of these things they are recommending chemotherapy prior to any surgery to remove it.  The chemo is intended to shrink the cancer and hopefully pull it far enough away from the chest wall so that the surgeon can remove it with clean margins.  We will meet soon with her oncologist to find out when the treatment plan will start.  Once we get a date, Pam will have a port surgically implanted for chemo and some lymph nodes biopsied at the same time to make sure they are clear.  So today we are anxiously waiting to hear from the oncologist.
As her friends you all are familiar with Pam’s strength and “get er done” attitude.  She is ready to start.  As she makes this journey , she welcomes all the prayers and moral support you can give. 
As her mom, I can’t even believe I am writing this . My hope, as always, is in Jesus.  I know God will guide us and provide us with the best possible caregivers.   Please keep her in your prayers.
