Sometimes it seems like this a dream but it is one l can't wake up from. William has been my life for over 27 years. We were married for over 24 years. William was diagnosed with ALS-LOU Gehrig's Disease in January of this year. It was like a story out of a book. William woke up and said l need to go to the hospital my left arm is numb. We headed to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. We were afraid he was having a stroke. That is what they said first. They took several tubes of blood. A MRI and brain scan. Then they said we are to admit you so we can be sure of what we are dealing with here. We were both scared because of the unknown. They came back in and said you have had a stroke. They continued doing a chest x-ray.
