Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Because I’m 50 I went for a routine colonoscopy Fri. a.m., April 5th. “Surprise” Dr. found a small tumor. He was 99.9% sure it is cancer. I wasn’t having any problems & it’s small so we’re thinking those are good things. A biopsy was sent for testing. I had a cat scan that afternoon. Wed. we got the results:

I do have colon cancer. It was probably a polyp for 7-10 years. Praise that Dr. found it via routine screening.

It is NOT stage 4. That is also a praise!

The cancer has NOT spread! PRAISE!!! (That was my prayer request!!)

The cancer needs to go!!! First step is surgery. After the tumor is removed the biopsy will determine whether it is a stage 1-3. I have an appointment w/Dr. Charles Heise, surgeon at UW Madison on Thurs., April 25th.

Never want to hear the word “Cancer”. God is in control - our hope is in Him!! I didn’t feel sick going in & I feel fine right now so I’m living in that blessing for now.

We weren’t expecting this, but the tumor hasn’t caught God off guard. Entrusting all to Him! No one signs up for trials. (Moses, Joseph, Job, Paul . . . ) Life is hard (& full of blessings!), but God is good - always! He will be with us each step of the way. And He has truly blessed us with the love, support, & prayers of so many family & friends!! We are blessed! Have my awesome husband right by my side! ❤️
