Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope, encouragement and prayer. As many of you know May 31st we went in for a routine ultrasound to check up on baby girl and find out the sex (rather get the sex handed to us in an envelope to find out that upcoming Sunday at our reveal party). But we were also confronted with the difficult news that our child has Spina Bifida. We were immediately caught off guard as it would for most anyone and had very little prior knowledge of what this was. Ever since, with hours and hours of research, doctor appointments and consultations we have setup a plan of action for our daughter. We are going to go to the Denver fetal medicine hospital to see if we can have the in utero surgery performed to correct the Spina Bifida now instead of post birth.
