Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Oz. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. As you may know, Oz survived what was determined to be a stroke on Monday July 17th while piloting his boat on the Kenai River.  Oz recognized the signs and quickly turned the boat around and returned to the launch, and  was transported to Central Peninsula Hospital where he received medical care. Oz is currently in the ICU where he is undergoing tests and treatment. Phones and flowers are prohibited in the ICU. The staff is monitoring Oz's condition for changes and improvements, and hope to release him from the ICU in the next few days. We will provide updates on this site on Oz's condition as often as possible. In an effort to reduce the stress of multiple phone calls and texts to Barb, please use this site to follow Oz's condition and to offer support to Oz and Barb. We appreciate your love, support, prayers, and words of hope and encouragement.
