Owen is having Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery on April 13th at Gillette’s in St. Paul. This will require a 6 week inpatient stay followed by an extensive outpatient therapy schedule still in the cities. Due to being born prematurely he has cerebral palsy and his gross motor skills (legs) are delayed. SDR surgery will help loosen the muscles in his legs and hopefully allow him to walk easier and better. Currently he is using a walker mainly to get around.
