I said , "no" to the adoption agency when they called to ask if we would consider adopting a four year old boy. I was just about to turn 50 and the thought of going back that far in my parenting frightened me. BUT Less than 12 hours later Marty and I just knew that we wanted this son to come home to his family of two big brothers and five older sisters. We had total peace and a little healthy fear. Today we are overwhelmed with love for the son...our son...that God blessed us with. He lights up a room with Joy and Love. The lung surgery tomorrow was nothing we saw coming. We are asking you to join us in praying for his surgery tomorrow and Owen's complete healing and health. (And please pray that he is not in pain)
