Ovalee Batten

Hello everyone, our family thought this would be the best avenue to keep you updated on our Mom, Ovalee Batten. On Thursday, September 29th she had an accident and fell down some stairs at church, which caused her femur to break in two places. As they were determining the extent of her injuries the doctor decided to X-ray some other areas and found three stress fractures in the other leg. She had surgery on both legs to place rods in them and it went well.

As of Monday 10/3/16, Mom continues to rest comfortably and will be transferred today to the East Campus Los Robles Hospital Rehab Center to continue her recovery. We do not know the timeframe for her stay in rehab, which depends on Mom's progress and ability to safely get back home. We all know how independent and active she is so the prognosis is great and guided by God's grace and light. Here is the address and phone number for the faculty:

150 Via Merida

West Lake Village

(805) 370-4001

Thank you again to everyone in Mom's beautiful community for the love, support and willingness to help. Because of you and her faith it will not be long before she is out and about serving and taking care of those she loves.

We will keep you posted here about her progress and ways to help.

With love and gratitude,

Michele, Jeff, Olivia, Sadie, David and Katy
