Olivia Smith

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  Olivia was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on 11/10/17.  Her symptoms began as lower back pain, which progressively became worse.  Olivia was unable to put her pants, socks, and shoes on.  We were told she had Osteopenia (low bone density) and that was the cause of her pain.  What was causing the low bone density we later discovered was Leukemia.  Olivia has been at Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital since 11/3/17. Her prognosis is good, ALL is one of the most treatable childhood cancers.  She will have a long journey ahead of her. Treatment will be 3-4 years.  We trust that God will protect and heal Olivia during this trial.  We are so thankful for all the support, help, and prayers that our family and friends have given us.
