Friday November 10, 2017 we had a Visitation and Panahyda (Prayer Service) for Oksana
We had a viewing and Panakhyda (prayer service) Friday November 10th at Kozlak's Funeral Home NE Minneapolis. The funeral was Saturday November 11th at St. Katherine UOC, Arden Hills. Oksana was buried at Sunset Cemetary near her daughter and brothers. There was a memorial service at Wayzata Community Church Thursday November 16th.
We commemorated the 40th day after Oksana’s falling asleep in the Lord with a traditional Ukrainian memorial service, Panachyda. It is believed that Oksana’s soul will have wandered on Earth during the 40-day period, coming back home, visiting places she has lived, as well as visiting her fresh grave. Oksana’s soul, having completed the journey will finally leave this world.
I thank you for the beautiful flowers and thank all of you who so kindly and generously donated to cover the funeral costs.
Thank you all for being such a fabulous family to Oksana and our family. God Bless!
