Norm Newman

We are creating this journal so that family and friends can check for updates on Norm's health and to alleviate some of the burdens of communication. This way, everyone can check frequently for recent events! 

A brief history: In the last year, Norm has been diagnosed with COPD and congestive heart failure. He experiences shortness of breath due to the thickening of his heart muscles. The most frequent and severe symptom is that he cannot breath deeply enough to get air in and out so fluid collects in his lungs and other places. The fear with this is that too much fluid can damage his heart even more. This also creates shortness of breath and fatigue. In the middle of these diagnoses, he underwent a fourth back surgery where his lower discs were fused together (again). You can find updates in the "journal" from the most recent events from the beginning of the year. 

We appreciate the love, support, thoughts, prayers, and positive energy so far in this journey. Norm is a loving husband, father, and grandfather and we are hopeful that he will continue to receive the care he needs in order to be as healthy and happy as possible; all things considered.
