On Friday June 2, 2017, we learned that Norm (Daddy, Papa, Pawpaw, Uncle Norm, Brother, Friend) had Pancreatic Cancer that had matasticized to the liver and lymph nodes.

On Wednesday June 7, 2017, we met with an Oncologist and learned that the cancer was Stage 4. Our doctor created a plan that would include a very aggressive chemo protocol and Norm was to start chemo on Monday June 19. Unfortunately, Norm ended up in the ER and then being admitted to Highland Park Hospital on Sunday June 18. We learned that Norm's liver function was decreasing and we worked with several great doctors to create a new chemo plan.

On Tuesday June 20, Norm had his first chemo treatment. He will have chemo 3 of the next 4 weeks and they will monitor his response to the chemo with the hope that we move back to the aggressive chemo treatments in the next 1-3 months. Until we move back to the aggressive chemo, we will continue the 3 of 4 week routines.

Our huge thanks to the doctors at Kellogg Cancer Center and at Highland Park Hospital as well as his doctor in Champaign who initially diagnosed the cancer.

Prayers are always welcome!! As you all know, Norm has a deep faith and a very loving family that will be with him in this fight!
