Norman (Snooks) Hicks

Update on Daddy. As of March 31st he has had 5 radiation treatments. Daddy seems to be feeling pretty good a little more tired than normal but other than that he's doing pretty good. When daddy goes for his 6th treatment we see the doctor before the treatment due to him not being able to swallow. Dr. Friedman tells us that this usually happens within the third week of treatment. The doctor is going to keep an eye on him and tells us that if daddy feels like he can't breathe to call 911 and they will probably have to put a trek in. (I pray it never comes to that). Doctor tells daddy it's okay to continue treatment. Daddy is weighed and only weighs 129 the nurse tells us he has lost 2 lbs. within a week. According to her this is normal.
On Monday, April 4th we saw the doctor (normal for Monday) along with the nutritionist daddy gained 1/2 lb. She says daddy is doing good with the amount of food he gets. Dr. Friedman has daddy scheduled for a total of 35 treatments as of today 4/07 he has completed 10 treatments with 25 more to go. Daddy sees his oncologist next Friday he is thinking about asking her about chemo again. 
Mama says Daddy is getting more tired each day says he sleeps more often throughout the day. Our family would like to thank everyone for all the support and prayers. God bless each one of you.
