Norman Briones

We would like to start by thanking everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  Their has been a tremendous amount of love and support showered on Norm, Shelly, and the kids.  We encourage you to continue your prayers and well wishes.  The positive energy is helpful in this time of need.

For those just hearing this I will explain as best as I understand.  Luckily we have doctors in the family that can fully understand and interpret to us lay people.  Norm was at the gym on Friday when he had a seizure.  He was taken to Baptist East in Louisville with a temperature of 106.    He was put into a medical induced coma to regulate body temperature.  They did an EEG and CT scan which found a mass on his frontal brain lobe of 4cm.  Their is nothing that can be addressed with this until his body is stabilized.  He was taken off of the sedation medicine around 4a.m. on Saturday morning.  I am told patients will wake from this within an hour.  Norm has had  slight eye lid movement early this morning and Shelly said he moved his hand. There have been ups and down in the last 48 hours.   Some scans come back that are REALLY positive  and honestly some that are really negative.

Norm, Shelly, Kaitlyn, Carson, Camden, Voltaire, Faye, Valerie, and Justin are all being strong.  Local friends, thank you for all your time you are investing to show how much they are loved.  Kaitlyn read ALL the  text messages to Norm.    Please continue your prayers.

If you are interested in contributing to the financial burden this emergency can cause, there is a YouCaring page set up by Jada Wilson, Support for Norman Briones.

I will continue to update as information is available.
