Norma Adkins

Welcome to Norma's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.   Please visit the journal for updates on Norma's recovery.  We will do our best to keep this site up to date.

Norma came to Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital on Friday for August 10th for mitral valve replacement and triscuspid valve repair.  The doctors experienced serious and unexpected complications during the procedure resulting in Norma being placed on an ECMO machine (heart/lung bypass).  She has been in ICU on the ECMO since late Friday night so her heart can rest and heal.
 
We are praying and waiting for her heart to get stronger so the doctors can begin removing her from the ECMO and she can begin her recovery from this operation and the complications.
 
We know God is with her and giving her strength.
