Thank you to everyone for all their support through this long process! Nickle has been a trooper through all the testing and many Doctor consultations and evaluations. He's been poked, prodded, scanned, xrayed and finally diagnosed with a very rare disease known as Moyamoya Disease. This disease of the arteries in the brain is progressive and the first signs were when he experienced a mini stroke Memorial Day weekend. Fortunately, this frightening experience did not leave permanent damage, but he has continued to have signs of more strokes. The surgery is a revascularization of the arteries in his left brain which controls the right side of his body. At this time his middle cranial artery is 70% narrowed and can only be resolved with surgery. The right side of his brain will have to be monitored because Nickle has shown signs of the disease on that side also. We look forward to finally being on Recovery Road and thank you for all your well wishes and prayers!
