Nick Pruitt, 29, IS A HUSBAND, FATHER, SON, BROTHER, and best friend--known for the sweetest smile and the warmest hugs. Nick and his wife, Tori, have been sweethearts since middle school, but have spent the last six years making a home in Tampa. Not quite two years ago, their son, Levi, was born.
A good provider for his family, Nick had everything going for him, until he was suddenly stricken by a life-threatening genetic condition. Now, he's in a critical care unit, and faces months of hospitalization and the loss of wages that entails.
