Welcome to our dad's CaringBridge website. We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. You can follow my dad's journey and even leave encouraging comments.  

If he's not at church or in his garden,  visiting the twins or playing his ukulele, watching a Pacquiao fight or reminiscing about his Navy days, you can find my dad taking care of mom or cracking political jokes with someone -- you know his presence when he's in the room.   



About  5 months ago, he started a workout regimen and was concerned about losing too much weight.  At first, he felt great -- going to the gym every day, felt stronger, but noticed he wasn't gaining weight.  Then he lost his appetite and complained about his back being sore.  Of course, we thought he was overdoing it -- taking care of mom and working out might've been too much for him.  He just wasn't himself.  


After meeting with several doctors, many scans and tests finally show that dad has stage 4 lung cancer, which has already spread to his bones.  This new cancer is not related to his prostate cancer (15yrs ago).  He will receive chemotherapy every 3 weeks for 4 cycles.  Radiation and surgery were not suggested because of the aggressiveness of his cancer.  


Because this treatment will affect his immunity, we are asking for NO VISITORS at this time.  We have already received an outpouring amount of support and well wishes.  Continue to pray for his strength and well being.  Please use this site for any messages, comments, prayers or jokes as my dad will be reading them all.
